GB isn't always the best place to sell something that has a smaller market. So I would say you should expect $400-600 for any RC K98 and you will have much better luck selling them on GB than at a gun show.īeerme, good luck on your sale.
Mauser k98 value serial number#
I had serial number 23 of a S27/G which is a rare code, and I had a dealer sell it on GB and I think I ended up with $600. Can be good shooters but don't think they are good investments. K98s are good investments if they are original matching rifles. I wasn't venting but attempting to educate people. So, my question is what would be a good amount to value these items at? Any help is greatly appreciated!Īlso, I sold my other K98 (a byf 43) about 5 years ago and got $575 for it. One can is open as I shot only 5 or 10 rounds when i got 2 rifles way back when.
I will also be selling a crate of Romanian 8mm (I think?) ammo that is the wooden crate with 2 spam cans inside with the can opener. I also have a WW2 K98 bayonet with a metal sheath that was unfortunately scrubbed of markings except for 3 numbers, 564. The K98 is a bit of an anomaly in that the reciever was not stamped with a serial number and the barrel was. It is in what I consider to be very good+ shape with a clean bore with good rifling. It has leather sling w/ keeper, cleaning rod, ammo pouch (is actually a Russian one i think) and a cleaning kit. It is a BCD 4, Wilhelm Gustloff werke, Wiemar rifle, Waffenampts are intact, electropeciled s/n's on bolt, baseplate, and buttplate, also stamped on the laminate stock. I am going to sell my Russian capture K98 and really can't get a good idea of a price by searching the net.
